Summer Camp 2026

Welcome to Polyglots Summer Camp!

Where Every Activity is a Language Lesson

Polyglots offers a immersive summer experience in Calgary designed to feel like a vacation. We ditch the textbooks for hands-on fun, ensuring your child learns French or Spanish naturally. Whether they are exploring the parks or conducting a science experiment, our goal is to build linguistic confidence through pure joy and social interaction.

A Perfect Fit for Every Learner

Ideal for children to start experiencing a second language without the stress of an academic curriculum. Also, for students who are in French or Spanish immersion, they can continue building their language skills in our variety of activities.

Interactive Activities

We keep kids active with kitchen science, high-energy gym games, and drama. By connecting words to physical actions, vocabulary is absorbed into long-term memory without the stress of formal lessons.

Weekly Themes

Every week is a new adventure! Travel to Le Café Paris or La Cathédrale (French), or dive into the vibrant Cuba Rhythm and Día de los Muertos (Spanish) through authentic music and art.

Supportive Answers for Your Complete Peace of Mind

We want you to feel 100% confident in your choice. If you don't find the answer you’re looking for here, please don't hesitate to reach out to our Calgary team—we are here to help!

For children not enrolled in Before Care, you may drop your child off as early as:
8:50 AM for the morning class or 12:50 PM for the afternoon class.

A Polyglots staff member will be outside to receive children between 8:50AM-9:00AM. If you arrive after this time, please bring your child to the program door, but do not enter the room as it is disruptive for the other children.

For pick up, parents are to wait outside the program location. Staff will escort children to the sidewalk and release students to their parents/guardians one at a time. Parents will need to sign the attendance list before they leave with their child.

There is no restriction on how many weeks any child may attend camp. In fact, we encourage you to sign up for multiple weeks in order to further develop your child's language skills.

Yes! You can choose to have your child learn French one week and then Spanish the next. You may also have them learn one language in the morning and another in the afternoon. Our campers last year really enjoyed this option.

Yes! If your child is registered to attend kindergarten in September 2026, then they may join us for camp.

A water bottle, hat, lunch, snacks, change of clothes. You may also choose to send them with a mask, and basic art supplies if you prefer not to share: scissors, pencil, eraser, markers, crayons. Weather permitting, we will be spending time outdoors at the facility so you may also want to pack a light jacket, sunscreen and mosquito repellent.

Polyglots Camp Leaders are well trained and expected to resolve minor issues with or between campers in a positive manner. Our goal is to provide every child with a rewarding experience. At the beginning of camp, the leaders go over camp expectations and rules. In the event that a rule is broken, a verbal warning from the Camp Leader is given that includes the problem and a solution. If a rule is broken again, the Education Coordinator will contact the parent/guardian to discuss the noted behaviour. Together, the parent/guardian and the Polyglots team will work out a custom designed behaviour modification plan. If the improper behaviour continues, the program staff will contact the parent/guardian to discuss the situation further and/or notify the parent/guardian to come and get the child if warranted. Examples of unacceptable behaviour that will result in a camper being immediately asked to leave camp include, but are not limited to, destruction of property or disruptive behaviour which threatens the safety of other campers or staff. In such a case, fees are non-transferable and non-refundable.

• Full Refund (minus $50 Administration fee) is only available with a minimum of 2 weeks notice.
• If your child misses a partial or full day for any reason, he/she will not be able to make up that time. Neither credit nor refund will be issued.
• If a child is absent for more than 3 days due to illness or injury, a refund will be issued upon receipt of a valid medical note. A $50 administrative fee will be charged at the time of refund.
If you need to cancel your camps with less than 2 weeks notice and cannot move your child(ren) to another week for 2026 Summer Camps your payment can be transferred to any week of Summer Camp for 2027.

In a few instances, we experience parents/guardians who are consistently late picking up their campers at the end of the day. The camp staff will not leave children unattended and we will not permit staff to be on their own in these circumstances. The result is that our staff are required to work longer, incurring extra expense.
In order to recover these costs, Polyglots has a policy of charging additional supervision fees when children are not picked up at the appropriate times. Recognizing that sometimes circumstances are completely unavoidable, first instances are treated as an education opportunity. Subsequent instances will be charged to the family. Repeated occurrences will result in your child being unable to register for programs.
